With what Song King learned, Jersey spandex fabric, also known as plain spandex fabric, is a popular spandex fabric with the same weave, which is a Single Jersey weave with only one needle, the fibers are woven in line with each other together. This is a quick weave and very easy to do compared to other weaves. The origin of the name Jersey is because this weave is used to knit sweaters on the island of Jersey - United Kingdom. Towards the end of the 19th century, this weave began to gain popularity and was applied to fabrics for everyday wear because of the comfort it provided.
Jersey spandex fabric can be woven from cotton, viscose or polyester... The fabric is used to make T-shirts, dresses, children's clothes...
The characteristic of jersey spandex fabric is that it is soft, light, and has little stretch. If you want the fabric to stretch better when woven, spandex is added. The two sides of the fabric are clearly distinguished by the naked eye.
To preserve jersey fabric well, be careful not to expose it to direct sunlight with high temperature. Do not machine wash or strong detergent.
